Teaser Tuesday

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

- Grab your current read
- Open to a random page
- Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
- BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
- Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

I love Kate Pearce's work, so she's an autobuy author for me. Even if she wasn't, The Tudor Vampire Chronicles combines three of my favorite things - romance, vampires, and Tudor England. That's why I'm excited I found my copy of Mark of the Rose, book 3 of The Tudor Vampire Chronicles (it was MIA for a few months following a cat-related catastrophe).

"The mocking laughter faded and she struggled to breathe through the horrible sweet stench of decay. She knew the Vampire's taunts were meant to frighten her, but this time they had the opposite effect." - Mark of the Rose by Kate Pearce, page 176

Love the teaser. The cover gives off a completely different feeling than the teaser. I'm so adding this to my reading list. Thanks for sharing.
