Waiting on Wednesday: Obsession in Death by J.D. Robb
Waiting On Wednesday is a weekly event hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine which spotlights eagerly anticipated upcoming releases!
I'm a huge, huge, HUGE fan of J.D. Robb's In Death series, which means it's a guarantee that I'm always going to be excited for the next book. Obsession in Death is no exception, but even if I'd never read the series before the book blurb is something that would catch my eye. This is the 40th book (and 50th In Death story if we're counting novellas) and I'm still insanely excited for Eve and Roarke's next adventure.

Book Description (from Amazon):
Lieutenant Eve Dallas walks the thin line between love and hate in this fabulous 40th thriller from #1 New York Times–bestseller J. D. Robb...
Eve Dallas has solved a lot of high-profile murders for the NYPSD and gotten a lot of media. She—and her billionaire husband—are getting accustomed to being objects of attention, of gossip, of speculation.
But now Eve has become the object of one person’s obsession. Someone who finds her extraordinary, and thinks about her every hour of every day. Who believes the two of them have a special relationship. Who would kill for her—again and again...
With a murderer reading meanings into her every move, handling this case will be a delicate—and dangerous—psychological dance. And Eve knows that underneath the worship and admiration, a terrible threat lies in wait. Because the beautiful lieutenant is not at all grateful for these bloody offerings from her “true and loyal friend.” And in time, idols always fall...

This doesn't seem like a book that I would read, but I hope you get to read it soon :)

Looking for Guest Reviewers!
It's so interesting that Nora Roberts writes thrillers under the pen name J.D. Robb. This shows what a versatile and talented writer she is!
I just might try this one out! Thanks for sharing! Thanks as well for visiting my blog and commenting on my WOW!! :)
I love this series, even though I haven't read very far into it. But this one is definitely on my radar now.
Thanks! Here's mine: “IN THE UNLIKELY EVENT”
Sounds like a nice read, haven't read any books by Nora Roberts or her alter ego. Can these books be read as stand-alones?
here's our WoW :)
Fiza, the In Death series can be read as standalones, but I recommend reading the first few books in the series first to understand the main characters and the basics of their world. Book 1 is Naked in Death :)
