I swiped this from my friend Angela (thanks babe ;)) and decided it would be fun to give this a go.
The Challenge: Read 50 new-to-you authors this year.
I'm listing each new-to-me author in the order I read them, as well as what books of theirs I read.
Since I'm a total book pimp, I'm using asterisks next to the names of the authors I recommend. Here's the key:
*** - I will be racing out to glom up this author's backlist
** - I will be definitely be reading more stories by this author
* - I liked this author well enough that if I come across something else of theirs that sounds interesting I'll definitely pick it up
No asterisks - This author isn't on my "look for" list (which doesn't necessarily mean the book of theirs I read was bad, nor does it mean I automatically wouldn't read another book by that author)

You should put up a negative asterisk for the authors who traumatized you with their purple prose....
I'm honored to be on your book list. Thanks for reading. :)

Claudia - I can't do that. An author's writing is so personal I don't want to be cruel, even if I did hate a book. I'd much rather the worst rating I can give be a neutral one.
Tara - Thank you so much :)
Thanks for the list - my TBR list keeps growing and growing - I may never clean the house or cook dinner for my family again!
I know, I know....I'll just get your take on a book in private. Despite appearances, I do know the value of diplomacy, I promise.
Jen - I feel you pain. Yet another reason I wish life included a magic wand.
I have started appreciating audio books for that reason. I can get my reading fix and be able to do other things. Still, nothing replaces the feeling of being able to sit down and actually read a book.
Wow! You've almost got 50!!
Angela - I've got more than 50 now *grin*
Kat, you made my day. I'm delighted that you liked the Shadowlands. Thanks!
I more than liked Club Shadowlands - I loved it!!!!
I raced out and got almost every other book you've written as soon as I finished it. I'm trying to spread them out so I don't race through them too fast, but it's so hard to resist.
Kat's pimped the Shadowlands books to others, including me!! I have also raced out to find them....I can't wait to dive into them.
Cheers,
Lami ;-))
